Visit the Highest Point in Indiana

The highest point in Indiana, at 1,257 feet above sea level, is located in Franklin Township in Wayne County. To visit the highest point, take a relaxing drive in the country, going north on State Road 227 to Bethel. Go west (left) on Bethel Road. Turn north (right) on Elliot Road.

Approximately  3/4 of a mile north of Bethel Road, you'll notice a country lane along the south side of a woods.

Walk the lane to the crest of the hill. You'll see a path that leads into the woods.
Ladder over the fence.		 Follow the path north. In the clearing you'll notice a pile of rocks. The rocks mark the highest point in Indiana.
