This ornament will represent Wayne County on the huge Christmas tree that decorates the lobby of the Indiana State Museum in December 2008.  Each of Indiana's 92 counties were asked to submit a hand-crafted ornament for the tree.  Fountain City artist, Brian Haviland, created Wayne County's ornament which features the Levi Coffin House in Fountain City.  The Levi Coffin House was often called the Grand Central Station of the Underground Railroad.  During the time they lived in this house, Levi and Catherine Coffin helped over 2,000 former slaves reach safety.
