Middlefork Reservoir Park
The Middlefork Reservoir Park is a 405-acre facility which hosts a 177 acre stream and spring-fed lake. In addition to fishing and boating, the park also hosts indoor and outdoor picnic areas, various active and passive play areas, hiking trails, and an excellent setting for enjoying an afternoon in the sun. The Hill's Bark Park is also located at the reservoir. Bring your dog along and take advantage of this large, fenced, off-leash play area. Located on Sylvan Nook Drive, Middlefork Reservoir is undoubtedly one of Richmond's best kept secrets.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources regularly stocks and inventories the fish in the lake. The latest inventory showed that the Reservoir contains Northern Pike, Large Mouth Bass, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, White Crappie, Longeared Sunfish, Golden Shiner, Brown Bullhead, Green Sunfish, Tiger Muskie, Pumpkin Seed Sunfish, and Hybrid Sunfish. Recently Northern Pike have replaced the Tiger Muskie in the regular stocking schedule. Fisherman of all ages are welcome and must possess an Indiana State Fishing License and follow State fishing regulations.
Daily and Annual Launch Permits
Fishermen are welcome to launch their private boats at the Middlefork Reservoir. Permits can be purchased at the Service Center. The Middlefork Reservoir is a "NO WAVE, NO WAKE" lake.
