Advertising/Marketing/Community Relations

• Presentation at the Richmond Lion's Club Meeting on September 28, 2011
• Wayne County Connections TV Show (Mentioned as "Producer"/Page)
  • Hosted show that will air beginning Tuesday, Nov. 22nd.
  • In the past year the WC Connections page has received 240 visits/148 unique visitors
• Twitter - we now have 457 followers.  Have sent 1,077 tweets.
• Facebook - 262 people "like" our Facebook page
• Follow up with visitors who shared their email on our survey

Issues & Projects for September/October/November

• Met with Paris Pegg, new Director of Morrisson-Reeves Library
• Free marketing consulting phone meeting with Kyle James of HubSpot Marketing
• His suggestions:
  • 1) Make memberships more valuable.
  • 2) Create content to show why our SEO features are so compelling.
  • 3) Repurpose current content (calendar, etc.) for email newsletters.
  • 4) Get one more $2500 member and do one "sponsored" newsletter per week.
  • 5) SEO - file names matter.
• Listen to free Press Release Seminar at HubSpot
• Used 1 hour of vacation time and 4 hours of floating holiday time.
• Planning/communication for Wayne County Connections
• Continue work on CSS Layout in Dreamweaver.

• Website Overhaul - continue basic layout/template setup, begin reorganizing folders and files, setup new pages as required for new layout, add auto file transfers to .htaccess as required.

These figures were created by the AWStats program offered online by our web host.  We also track usage with Google Analytics. For comparison, visitrichmond.org shared that their site received 3,678 visits in January 2011.

Monthly figures are posted on the Top Twenty page.  Current average is 51,391  user sessions per month.  Web page views are averaging 228,646.  Users sessions experienced a 9% uptick in September and a small 1% decrease in October. Page views remained steady with a 1% increase in October.

2nd Quarter 2011 - Quarterly figures for user sessions decreased 7% from 2nd Quarter.  Page views decreased by 3% in the third quarter.

2010 Yearly Figures show a 5% decrease to 689,268 users requesting 3,146,660 pages as compared to 723,398 users requesting 2,781,969 pages in 2009.  This is a 5% decrease in users and a 13% increase in page views over 2009.
