Advertising/Marketing/Community Relations

  • Wayne County Connections TV Show (Viewers directed back to website /Page)
    • Michael interviewed Jane about the role of producer on Wayne County Connection and also talked about WayNet's Community Calendar and other services.
    • Jenie Lahmann has kindly stepped up to be the new producer for this show, so, with her connections to the WayNet Board, my recommendation would be to continue to support the show via our website.
    • The WC Connections pages received 40 pageviews from 13 users from January 19 through March 15 via Google Analytics.
  • Twitter - we now have 2,420 followers. (Twitter no longer notes total tweets sent.) During November, we had 2,018 impressions, and gained 4 followers. In January, we had 833 impressions, and lost 25 followers. In February, we had 1,010 impressions, and gained 1 follower. So far in March, we have had 1,187 impressions and lost 1 follower.
  • Facebook - 2,022 people "like" our Facebook page, and 2,356 are followers. 77% are female, 22% male.
  • Our Flickr account regularly receives 218 to 3,042 views daily. Occasionally, we will have an anomaly and it bursts up to 20,000+ in one day. Our 17,682 photos have received 5,200,188 views since we joined in 2005. We have 205 followers.
  • Our Instagram account (@waynet_org) has 192 posts, 644 followers and 396 following.

Issues & Projects for January / February / March

  • Worked with Josh Imhoff at Always Relevant Digital to try to figure out issue with /calendar folder not being "seen" by Google (403 error), thus not indexed and showing up in search.
  • Updated Government page.
  • Work with MRL on selected photos.
  • Meet with Jenie to discuss processes surrounding Producer role for Wayne County Connections.
  • Interview with Michael Sweigart on Wayne County Connections / Create screen shots for inclusion during show.
  • Virtual meeting with Joseph Seger from Central Methodist Church re: Social Services Directory
  • Updated Weather and Education pages.
  • Backed up website to office computer so we will have a reaonably current copy backed up off-site at Carbonite. (Home internet connection is too slow for this process.)
  • Project Hours - estimated. I don't always remember to switch projects and/or I am multi-tasking.
  • Noteable increase in press releases and calendar events.
  • Contacted Time.ly with a couple of graphics issues.
  • Currently in coorespondence with HGTV regarding photo usage. Requested David Burton look over a release they requested we sign.

Website Maintenance:

  • Slowly reviewing pages for dead/broken links, URL's needing updating.
  • Technical issues:
    • Still searching for fix for "robots.txt" issue that Google is returning for our calendar section. Any help appreciated!

    My To-Do List:

    • Working with the Marketing Dept. at Reid Health to try and figure a way to import their events. - currently in a stalemate 12/2020
    • Google is updating its analytics. Need to study this and possibly update the code across our website.
    • Website Overhaul - review log analysis, research technical options and trending layouts
    • Ongoing: Make calls on members/potential members
    • Ongoing: Continue to review & update web pages.
    • Prepare & Mail invoices and statements each month, Accounts Receivable
    • Ongoing - Review files for clean up using Screaming Frog SEO spider, DeadLinkChecker and/or Optimizr.com.
    • Set up Internship/Volunteer Program
