Board Meeting Minutes - November 15, 2012

Present:

• Jenie Lahmann, President (Morrisson-Reeves Library
• Pam Merchanthouse, Secretary (Friends Fellowship Community)
• Dudley Fetzer (First Bank Richmond)
• Bill Pendley (Potter's Wheel Bed and Breakfast)
• Gary Arndts (Marketing & Creative Services)
• Beth Fields (Wayne County Government)
• David Burton (Burton & Simpkin)
• Jane Holman (Executive Director, WayNet.org, Ex-Officio)

Call to Order:

President Jenie Lahmann called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. in the Richmond Power and Light Conference Room.

Old Business:

The September 20, 2012, minutes were reviewed. Dudley Fetzer motioned acceptance of the minutes and Bill Pendley seconded the motion. It passed unanimously.

The open board position was discussed. Jane Holman will call the Executive Committee together in January to discuss and make a recommendation.

New Business:

Balance Sheet:

The balance sheet was reviewed. Jane Holman advised we have $4,000+ in out-standing invoices. David Burton made a motion to approve and it was seconded by Gary Arndts. All were in favor.

Budget for 2013:

Jane Holman presented the budget for next year. After a brief discussion, Bill Pendley made a motion to accept the proposed budget and Pam Merchanthouse seconded. All approved.

Meeting Schedule for 2013:

By consensus, the group agreed to continue meeting every other month on the third Thursday.

President's Report:

Jane Holman gave an overview of her report. She continues to update our website and stay on top of our social media.

Adjourment:

Being no further business, Jenie Lahmann asked for a motion to adjourn. Bill Pendley made the motion and David Burton seconded. All approved and the meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
