Downtown Richmond, Indiana Gas Explosion Memorial

The Memorial reads:

In memory of the forty-one persons who lost their lives in the tragic downtown explosion April 6, 1968 and with everlasting gratitude to those who helped give rebirth to the city.

This memorial is located at the corner of East Main and 5th Streets in Richmond, Indiana, approximately one block west of the epicenter of the disaster.
