Francis in the household of David Moore, so they were brothers.
Francis "Frank" and Barbara later lived in Jefferson Twp.,
Wayne Co., and he became a well known minister in the United Brethren
Church. Francis' death certif. gave his father as David Moore, b.
Ireland, and his mother as Lidda Moore. Alison died before birth and
death records were kept in Indiana.)

The Nelson family
came to Indiana from North Carolina. Vera Wolfe Coppock, granddaughter
of Randolph Nelson wrote, 'I do remember Grandpa (Randolph N.) saying
they came to Indiana to keep from fighting their brothers. So

Democrat Nov-20-1924 reads;
"Elwood Newman, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Newman, residing
eight miles southeast of Winchester, died at the Randolph Co. Hospital
Monday (Nov-17) as the result of an accident three hours previously.
The man, with several others, was trying to move an automobile which
had stalled in the snow, at Spartansburg. The blinding snowstorm
prevented F. L. Beattey, of Spartansburg, from seeing the men who were
attempting to push the stalled car, and he struck Mr. Newman and
knocked him down. The young man was hurried to the hospital, where
everything possible was done to save his life......Funeral
services....this morning (Thursday) at the Sugar Grove
Church....Burial in the cemetery nearby."

space for it. The Enterprise, a Richmond, IN. weekly newspaper, the
July-12-1895 issue, reported in its Greens Fork column that he died at
New Castle and was brought to Sugar Grove. He was a blacksmith.
Young's History of Wayne Co., Ind. says "Samuel Ogborn, a native
of New Jersey, came from Ohio in 1825, and died in 1839 about a mile
and a half west from town." (Washington, now Greens Fork). Samuel
is bur. in Fairfield Cem. He was the great, great, great, grandson of
John Ogborn I who came from England and was living in Burlington Co.,
N.J. in 1684.
