Old Business

Approval of Minutes

Rob Tidrow motioned approval of the minutes dated January 19 th , 2017, seconded by Dakota Collins and the motion passed unanimously.

After approval of minutes, the Board toured Cope Environmental Center's new building.

New Business:

Report from Members on Membership Drive

Richard, Lynn & Pam have all approached potential members (over 15 different businesses), but have not heard anything.

Jane, however, did get a new member! Dr. Virginia Young (who took the place of Dr. Marcus Miller) of Spring Grove Dental joined at a $500 level. Jane decided to put the gift card back in to the pot for the next winner.

Marketing Committee Report

The marketing committee gave a brief summary of their last meeting. They decided that in order to make money to sustain the organization, we must move forward with our marketing ideas.

David followed up with people he had contacted to become members, but no one is responding.

If a business tells us that they do not want to join, the marketing committee asked that the Board then ask the business why they do not want to join so that we can change and make the membership more appealing.

Please keep trying to contact people!

Balance Sheet

Reid Health paid their 2016 membership dues in February.

Jane's paychecks were issued 3x's in January and will be issued 3x's in March, but after that it will be the normal 2x's a month.

Insurance and Carbonite were both paid in February, however they are both only paid once a year.

Richard made a motion to approve the balance sheet, Rob seconded and the motion passed.

Current Membership Figures

There are currently 134 members.

Palladium Item has still not paid/joined. However, Jane believes she has finally found the correct person to be talking to in regards to membership. This person is NOT local.

If the Pal-Item declines, do we still link to them? They are one of the main sources of news. There was a motion to link to Pal-Item, but not have them listed anywhere else if they decline. Rob was the first to approve this motion and David seconded. The motion passed.

Director's Report

Jane reviewed the Director's Report.

We were informed that the Olde North Chapel paid as well as AVP. Spring Grove Dental will be on a quarterly billing cycle. Al Gentry passed away. The EDC paid $150 for pictures.

Wayne County Connections TV Show: Beth has been helping coordinate the TV show.

The board took a group picture before adjourning the meeting. 2017 WayNet Board of Directors

Respectfully submitted,
